Singing

artist statement.

As a performer, Aubrey is drawn to the emotional depth and expressive nuance of the human voice. She has particular passions for early music, contemporary composition, and the German Lied tradition, finding joy in the intricate textures of Baroque repertoire, the boldness of new works, and the intimacy of art song. A devoted ensemble singer as well as a soloist, she thrives in the collaborative spirit of choral music, where voices come together to create something larger than any one part. Whether interpreting centuries-old texts or premiering modern works, she approaches each performance with curiosity, clarity, and a deep respect for the music’s ability to connect across time and place.
